Zoom Teeth Whitening in Bangkok, Thailand: Prices, How It Works and How It Compares with LED

October 9, 2026

Zoom teeth whitening costs 7,500 to 12,000 THB in Bangkok dental clinics. It’s a Philips system: a whitening gel is applied to your teeth and activated with an LED lamp, in one visit of about an hour.

The Smile Bar doesn’t offer Zoom. We do teeth whitening in Bangkok with our own LED system, from 2,399 THB. This guide explains Zoom, lists what Bangkok clinics charge for it, and compares it with LED whitening so you can pick what fits your trip.

In short

  • Zoom is done in dental clinics and hospitals. Published prices in Bangkok: 7,500 to 12,000 THB.
  • Zoom already uses an LED lamp. “Zoom vs LED” is really dental clinic vs whitening studio.
  • LED whitening at The Smile Bar costs 2,399, 4,399 or 5,799 THB, in 20-minute sessions.
  • Both can cause temporary sensitivity, and neither changes the colour of crowns, veneers or fillings.

Zoom vs LED whitening at a glance

The two “result” lines are what each provider announces. They aren’t measured the same way, so don’t read one as better than the other.

What is Zoom teeth whitening?

Zoom is a brand of in-clinic whitening made by Philips. The current version is called Zoom WhiteSpeed.

  • It’s a clinic treatment. Philips supplies it to dental professionals.
  • It has two parts: a whitening gel and a lamp that shines on the gel.
  • It’s done in one visit. Philips describes 45 minutes of whitening.

Zoom already uses an LED lamp

This is the point most guides skip. The Zoom lamp is a UV-free LED lamp. It isn’t a laser, and it isn’t a different kind of light from other LED systems.

So when people compare “Zoom vs LED”, they’re really comparing two settings: a dental clinic with a Philips kit, or a whitening studio with another gel and lamp.

How much does Zoom teeth whitening cost in Bangkok?

There’s no fixed price. Each clinic sets its own, and most run promotions. These are the prices clinics published on their own websites when we checked on 9 October 2026:

Clinic Published price Regular price Conditions shown
MITI Dental 7,500 THB — Package price
HeySmile Dental 7,900 THB — —
Skytrain Dental 7,900 THB — —

CDC Dental 9,500 THB 12,000 THB Promotion until 31 December 2026
BDMS Wellness Clinic 12,000 THB — —
Evercare Dental 12,000 THB — —

How to read it: promotions sit between 7,500 and 9,500 THB, and the usual list price is 12,000 THB. Prices change, so confirm with the clinic before you book.

What the price may or may not include

  • The check-up. Some clinics include it, others bill it.
  • A cleaning. Usually extra. Several clinics sell a Zoom + cleaning package.
  • The number of cycles. Three is standard. Some clinics do two, others four.
  • A take-home kit. Not always included.
  • Any treatment needed first. Fillings or gum care are charged on top.

How that compares with prices back home

In the United States, guides put Zoom at around 300 to 600 US dollars, with an average near 500. Bangkok prices are roughly half of that.

What happens during a Zoom session

  1. Check-up. A dentist checks your teeth and gums.
  2. Protection. Your lips and gums are covered so only the teeth are exposed.
  3. Gel and light. The gel is applied and the lamp runs for about 15 minutes.
  4. Repeat. The gel is replaced and the cycle is repeated, usually three times in total.
  5. Shade check. Your new shade is compared with the starting one.

How LED whitening at The Smile Bar works

  1. Briefing and shade check. We explain the session, look at your teeth and record your starting shade.
  2. Pre-whitening. You rinse with a mouthwash and brush with a whitening toothpaste.
  3. Whitening. The gel is applied and the LED lamp runs for 20 minutes.
  4. Repeat if you chose two or three sessions.
  5. Final shade check and aftercare advice. You leave with a whitening toothpaste and mouthwash.
Package Whitening time Visit Price

Double Whitening 2 × 20 minutes About 60 minutes 4,399 THB

You can book any package and upgrade on the day. Full details are on our teeth whitening prices page, and our guide to cool light (LED) teeth whitening explains the technology.

Zoom or LED: which one fits your trip?

Zoom in a dental clinic may suit you if:

  • you’re already having other dental work done in the same clinic;
  • you want a full dental check-up and whitening in one appointment;
  • your discolouration comes from inside the tooth (medication, an old injury) and you want a dental opinion first.

LED whitening at The Smile Bar may suit you if:

  • your stains come mostly from coffee, tea, wine or smoking;
  • you want a fixed price, the same every day;
  • you’re short on time: a Single Whitening visit takes about 30 minutes;
  • you want to start with one session and decide on the day whether to add more.

Results: what to expect from each

  • Zoom: Philips announces up to 8 shades in one visit. That’s a maximum, not what everyone gets.
  • The Smile Bar: 2 to 9 shades lighter, 5 on average. See our before and after results.
  • Both: the result depends on your starting shade and the type of stains. Surface stains respond best.
  • How long it lasts: clinics announce anything from a few months to three years for Zoom. It mostly depends on what you eat, drink and smoke afterwards.

A note on the lamp: studies of in-clinic whitening have not shown that light makes whitening more effective. The gel does the work. That’s true for Zoom and for LED systems alike.

Sensitivity and aftercare

  • Sensitivity is possible with any whitening. It’s usually mild and temporary. Clinics that offer Zoom say it settles within 24 to 48 hours.
  • Zoom clinics can adjust. The lamp has a lower intensity setting, and a desensitising gel can be applied.
  • Our gel is low-concentration and pH-neutral, designed to limit sensitivity. Some people still feel their teeth for a day or two.
  • Food and drink: Zoom clinics ask you to avoid coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco for 48 hours. Our rule is 72 hours, or none with the Nano Protection add-on (750 THB).

When to see a dentist first

  • You have tooth pain, a cavity or bleeding gums.
  • You have crowns, veneers or fillings on your front teeth: they won’t change colour.
  • A single tooth is much darker than the others.

We don’t whiten teeth for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, people who wear braces, or anyone under 18.

Questions to ask a clinic before booking Zoom

  • Is this a promotional price, and until when?
  • Is a new kit opened for each patient?
  • What do you do if I feel sensitivity during the session?
